You can initiate this cards effect yourself if you are willing to lose life points. If there is a monster that is giving you trouble and it is stronger than D.D Assailant, attack it anyway causing the effect to trigger and banishing that monster .


(But maybe I’m wrong if you read it to a ruling page). D.D. Assailant’s effect activates on the field because his effect doesn’t say: When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard with an opponent’s monster, remove from play that monster and this card, so Skill Drain can negate .


5/4/2009  · Effect activates in the graveyard, not while face up. So your friends are right. D.D. Assailant activates in Sub Step 6 of the Damage Step, before monsters are sent to the graveyard, so it’s effect will be negated. There’s nothing official on it, only logic.


4/6/2020  · One of the best cards in duel links. Most traps and quickplay spell aren’t capable of straight destruction like sakuretsu armor or mirror force would be. D.d. assailant can topple over most monsters in defense and banish anything bigger than it, or alternatively forcing the opponent to waste a backrow card.
