10/4/2020  · Upon upgrading, I noticed that two of my UniFi devices are disconnecting at seemingly random times. They subsequently displayed “ Disconnected ”, “ Adopting ”, or “ Adoption Failed.” This guide is specifically for controller version 6.0.23, but should work with other controllers to fix the issue of UniFi devices disconnecting.


– Newly UniFi access point deployed showed up in the controller for adoption – Clicking “ Adopt ” did started the provisioning process – At the end of the provisioning ( adoption ), the access point show as “ Disconnected ”. Additional information : – APs were running firmware 3.7.58.6385 , 4/24/2015  · 1 – SSH into SP unit. 2 – Issue command – set-inform http:/ / controllerIP:8080/ inform. 3 – Adopt on controller (this is where it would disconnect and never come back) 4 – Reissue command – set-inform http:/ / controllerIP:8080/ inform (this is the missed step for me) 5 – AP .

6/16/2012  · My Unifi controller is showing my APs as disconnected , yet my APs are working as expected, and have a blue light. This happened out of the blue, and the APs where showing an Adopting state in the controller, but where marked as disconnected . After restarting the controller, the APs have a disconnected state.
